Late fall, last year, my parents surprised us with this little magnolia tree they found on clearance. I planted it right away but was fearful that it wouldn't make it through the harsh Wisconsin winter. As you can see, it made it and we had our first bloom just over a week ago. I enjoyed watching it change and grow and decided to document it. My neighbors probably thought I was weird, but I think the final product is picture perfect.
Change is something that I frequently resist, but this magnolia proves to me that if you accept change for what it is and go with the flow you will have grown into a stronger, more beautiful, human being.
